This page explains how Lymington Spray Tans handles enquiry, booking, discount email, marketing consent, analytics and advertising information.
Lymington Spray Tans is the controller for booking and enquiry information submitted through this website, WhatsApp or phone.
Information collected
Enquiry forms and WhatsApp booking links may collect your name, phone number, location, preferred appointment date, occasion and message details so I can respond to your request and confirm travel, timing and colour advice.
The website discount form collects your email address, whether you optionally asked for future marketing, the discount issue and expiry details, and security information needed to prevent automated abuse. The form does not add your booking details or payment information to the customer record.
How information is used
Your details are used to respond to enquiries, manage appointments, provide preparation or aftercare information, send appointment details and keep basic booking records.
A requested discount email is used to deliver and administer the discount offer. It is transactional. Future offers or spray tan tips are only sent after you tick the optional marketing box and complete Mailchimp's double opt in confirmation.
Legal basis
Enquiry and appointment details are handled because they are needed to respond to your request and provide the service. Analytics and Google Ads cookies are optional and only used after you give consent. The requested discount email and its fraud prevention checks are handled because you asked for the offer and because there is a legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse. Future marketing relies on your consent and can be withdrawn at any time.
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies remember privacy choices and keep the site working. Optional analytics cookies measure visits and enquiry actions. Optional Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising cookies help measure WhatsApp clicks, phone clicks and enquiry forms from advertising.

Analytics and advertising
If Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel or remarketing are enabled, the site may use Google or Meta tags to measure calls, WhatsApp clicks, form submissions, guide booking routes, social profile clicks and fixed service area checker result categories. The area checker runs on your device. It does not send the selected town, postcode, name, email, phone or booking notes as an analytics event property. You can change your cookie settings from the website footer or by opening cookie settings.
The booking form prepares a WhatsApp message on your device. The details are passed to WhatsApp only if you choose to open the prepared WhatsApp enquiry and send the message.
Sharing information
Booking details are not sold. Information may be processed by services used to run the website, send enquiries, measure advertising or host the site, including Vercel hosting, WhatsApp/Meta and Google where those services are enabled. Discount contacts and consent are held in Mailchimp, the requested discount email is delivered by Resend, and Cloudflare Turnstile protects the form from automated abuse. These providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data transfer safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiry and booking records are kept only for as long as needed for customer service, appointment records, accounting or legal requirements. Advertising and analytics cookies follow the expiry periods set by the relevant platform and can be refused through cookie settings.
Appointment messages and basic booking records may be kept while they are needed to manage the appointment, answer further questions and meet ordinary business record requirements.
People who do not subscribe to marketing have their discount records kept for up to 12 months and then archived during a quarterly Mailchimp review, unless they are needed for an unresolved complaint or legal obligation. Marketing subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe, ask for deletion, or the record is otherwise removed under the retention review.
Your choices
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information where legally available. You can also refuse optional cookies when the banner appears or reopen cookie settings. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe route. Unsubscribing does not silently re subscribe you if you later request the transactional discount email. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
